SDram durch DDram ersezen
Frage
Kann ich meinen SDRam Durch denn Schnelleren DDRam ersetzen? Ich habe windows XP und ein Siemens PC mit Gygabite Moterboard.

Nein, geht nicht. Die beiden Speichersorten sind nicht kompatibel.

Was heisst das genau? Ich will ja nicht DDram mit SDram mischen. Müsste ich ein neues Motherboard kaufen?

welches MB ist das denn von Gigabyte ?
Elitegroup z.B. hat Boards die beide Speichertypen aufnehmen kann..
entweder DDR oder SDRam....

Es kommt drauf an was du für ein Board hast. Manche Mainboards unterstützen beide Speicherarten (haben also Slots sowie für DDR-Ram als auch für SD-Ram)
Dazu müsstest du also erstmal die genaue Mainboardbezeichnung wissen.
Von der Bauart her sind diese beiden Speichersorten jedoch grundsätzlich verschieden.

WennDein Board sowohl DDR-RAM als auch SDRAM-Steckplätze hat, kannst Du entweder DDR oder SD nehmen, aber DDR-Riegel passennet in SDRAM-Plätze

Und der "Vorteil" ist insgesamt lächerlich, lohnt letztlich nicht die Investition (Videobearbeitung als Ausnahme) . Da sind eher neue CPU und neues Board angesagt.

Auf der Gigabyte Seite finde ich nix.
Nimm mal Adia32, da steht die genaue bezeichnung vom Board !

Ich bin leider zurzeit nicht am PC sonder unterwegs in den Ferien und mit dem Laptop im internet. Aber sobald ich mehr weiss gebe ich euch bescheid. Danke jedoch schonmals im Voraus. Viele Grüss aus denn Ferien.
