Wie schnell ist USB2

Hallo,
ich wollte mal wissen, wie schnell USB2 eigentlich ist (max. Übertragungsrate), und ob ein geeignetes Kabel Vorraussetzung für USB2 ist.
Mit meiner externen Festplatte, erreiche ich ca. 25 MB/s. Entspricht das USB2? Es gibt ja Kabel zu kaufen, wo draufsteht USB2-fähig. Nun habe mal ein altes USB-Kabel von meiner Digicam angeschlossen (garantiert nicht USB2) und mit diesen erreiche ich auch 25 MB/s?!
P.S.: Wie schnell ist eigentlich USB1.1 bzw. das Ur-USB1?

Okay, hat sich teilweise erledigt. Weiß nun, dass mit USB2 max. ~57,2 MB/s möglich sind (bzw. 480 MBit/s).
Die Festplatte im Gehäuse unterstützt aber UDMA100, was Effektiv vielleicht 50 MB/s ausmacht. Trotzdem ist die Platte nur halb so schnell. Liegt's am USB2-Kabel?
