Games run too fast

Question

Hi,

Just recently my PC is going a bit mad, and i think thats probably because of the CPU...

When i play games they are faster than they should be, they are like if i were using a speedhack with the difference that im not.

I tried :

-Assigning the game to a single core
-Lowering the Games' priority
-Reseting Bios to Failsafe defaults
-Turn on VSync
-Reinstall Graphic Drivers
-Reinstall Direct X
-Use AMD Dual Core Optimizer

Would be nice if somebody could help ^^

PS: I've choosen that topic because those games obviously rely on timers for their mission times and so on, and those run too fast.

Which games? Please name some....
If very old ones, you maybe should use DOSBox or something.

No, not too old. Games like Americas Army, onto that my VCL players plays too fast so its not just the game. I guess its more related to the CPU

Checked your PC for vIrus and malware in Safe Mode?
Just a wild guess...

Stupid guess, no its not a virus. I installed a driver before which operated in ring 0, im still thinking its a setting connected to the cpu.

Hmm..

If it'd been am AMD CPU i's suggest to turn off C'n'Q.. Maybe you should try to deactivate a Intel similiar function. Maybe Intel has the same problems whit its energy saving features.

If all the hints won't work, try CPU Control
